Meet the Team!

Jennifer Carton

Jennifer Carton is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Balanced Integrative Care (BIC) in Eldridge, Iowa. Jennifer is originally from Waterloo, Iowa, however, her family moved to Mesa, Arizona when she was a teenager. She is the mother of two wonderful boys and lives with her husband, Dale Carton, in Sherrard, Illinois.

As a registered nurse, Jennifer worked in pulmonary, hospice, ambulatory surgery, and surgical recovery. In 2014, Jennifer earned her Masters and then Doctorate in Nursing in 2018 from Walden University. Her experience includes family and women’s health. Her love for helping pre-, peri-, and post-menopausal women grew after being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and undergoing a partial hysterectomy in 2019.

Jennifer ‘s hobbies include shopping, decorating, boating, spending time with family and friends, and sitting on her deck overlooking Fyre Lake while enjoying peace and quiet.

Jennifer’s passion is helping families reach optimum health through achieving balance in their lives. Health encompasses many dimensions that are interdependent. Whether it is physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, vocational, financial, and/or environmental health, they are all critical to one’s quality of life. In partnering with my patients, I aim to listen and attend to ALL their healthcare needs.

Darcy Jennings

Darcy Jennings is a Registered Nurse (RN) at Balanced Integrative Care. Darcy has lived in the North Scott community all her life. She is married to her husband Chris and together they have has two adult children Haley and Austin. Darcy has over 32 years of experience in nursing. Those years include time in the Cardiac Unit, Operating room, Recovery unit, and Outpatient surgery. Darcy has managed 40 plus staff and 6 operating rooms (ORs) as manager in outpatient surgery.

Darcy holds an Associate’s degree in nursing and certifications in basic cardiac life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and OR nursing. She has held roles as Educator, Pharmacy Committee, Human Resources, and IV instructor. Professional accomplishments include being nominated as healthcare hero by Image First.

In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, helping others, decorating her home, rescuing dogs and spending time with family, friends and spoiling her grandson Lars.

As a nurse, we have the opportunity to heal the mind, soul, heart, and body of our patients, their families, and ourselves. They may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
